Elaine Miles

Originally from Connecticut, Elaine Miles began her path toward a
career in music, first in church choir and school chorus and onward to
stage productions and concerts.
Before attending
college, Elaine spent 3 years on the road touring countrywide with
signed bands as a lighting designer and equipment technician.
After spending some time exploring other opportunities, she eventually
recognized that personal success could only be achieved by following
the dream. Musician friends encouraged her efforts, teaching and
supporting, and introducing Elaine to the fine art of sitting in. These
sessions led to gig offers, an expanding repertoire, and then her first
band.
A modest first CD, begun as a demo, launched Elaine into the Southern California club scene.
As
a full-time musician, Elaine is entirely engaged in her work and
performs with many of today's top instrumentalists. She has played jazz
festivals; written and performed music featured on the big screen, and
is currently finishing her latest CD with the incomparable John
Chiodini. Elaine is also responsible for the original song "The Journey" which is included on the soundtrack and is directly inspired by An Anything But Ordinary Journey.
